Ordering your commission
Here are 3 steps to booking your portrait:
Step 1: your photograph
I draw using photographs as the reference point. The very best drawing starts with great photos as references. If your photo is not clear to draw details, I will try my best to work towards a great drawing that you will cherish forever.
My preference is digital photographs that remain clear when enlarged (photographs taken with a good phone camera are usually suitable).
Step 2: your deposit
A commission is secured by a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the commissioned artwork. This deposit is non-refundable since I only use the highest quality artists' materials and must cover upfront costs I would incur by my purchasing the materials and beginning the artwork should you subsequently choose to cancel the commission after it has started.
The final 50% payment will be required after your approval of the artwork. I will also send you regular updates for you to see the progress of your commission.
Step 3: packing and shipping
Your artwork will be securely sent to you in a sealed waterproof cover, gift wrapped with a certificate of authenticity. The cost will only include the price for a special delivery by royal mail which will ensure your artwork arrives safely and quickly.
