Frederique Horton Art

Hi, and thank you for visiting! I have lived in South Wales, UK, for the past 40 years. I was born in Paris where I grew up and studied English at university. I came to Wales to continue my studies - and stayed, raising my family and teaching French. I am now a self-taught full-time coloured pencil artist, a medium I discovered by chance and which has become my passion.

I specialise in animal photo-realism, with emphasis on fine detail and creating lifelike portraits. My work has been featured in the American artist Ann Kullberg's "Color" magazine, and regularly in the monthly Pencil Box art gallery.
